Our Vision

Our Educational apostolate aims at the formation of individual with deep-rooted faith in God, altruistic concern and loyalty to the nation. We take utmost care in building up sound characters, who are spiritually oriented, intellectually competent, morally upright, etc. based on the teachings of the Holy Bible. We aspire towards creating a just society where in the dignity of the individual is respected and our values of ahimsa, religious harmony and national integration are upheld.

Our Mission

Our school is open to all students. As this is a Catholic institution, we impart Christian faith to Christian students. Other students will however have the right to grow in their own, cultural, social and religious traditions. Every effort is made to effectively educate our students as per the national and international standards demands and they are trained to seek and find knowledge and wisdom. Due attention is given to character formation and personality development. The main objective of the curriculum is integral development of the individual rather than being confined to the limits of its textual resources.

St. Raphael’s Cathedral School had its humble origin in 1985 with a Baby class and later it was raised to the status of a Primary School in 1992. In the year 2001 the School was affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, Reg. No. 930313. The school is managed by St. Raphael’s Cathedral Educational Society (Reg. No. PKD CA 319/1999) constituted by the Parish Yogam of St. Raphael’s Cathedral, Palakkad. St. Raphael’s Cathedral School, affiliated to C.B.S.E, New Delhi, Reg. No. 930313, is located in the heart of the city of Palakkad . The school follows the CBSE syllabus and has classes from LKG to XII. The school was established in 1985 and rapidly earned the reputation of being an institution of excellence. Since its inception, all the Xth standard batches have scored 100% results. St. Raphael’s Cathedral School has excellent academic, sports and co-curricular activities. Teachers are very well qualified experienced in their subjects. The school was upgraded to senior secondary level by the CBSE Delhi in 2009. The school has been admitting students to class xi ever since. At St. Raphael’s Cathedral School, we meet academic and developmental needs of every child by offering efficient coaching and effective implementation of curriculum objectives. Exposure programs are arranged for Art, Music, Yoga, Athletics, and Communicative English as part of core curriculum. Every student enrolled in our school should feel that he/she is a privileged person and is a special gift of God. The school aims at high academic standards and stresses on co-curricular objectives implementation. Aesthetically designed classrooms, Art lab, amenities like Audio Visual Lab, Computer Lab, Science Laboratories, attractive Kid’s Park , etc provide and promote dynamics and vigour in the teaching learning ambiance and process. Teachers keep on updating pedagogy and class room management and individual activities.

1. 1985 - Our founder Manager. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kadambattuparambil began the Pre.K.G school with 48 students and two teachers.
2. 1990 – The organization branched into a parallel college.
3. 1992 – starting of Class I
4. 1997 – Attempt to get state government recognition done by Rev. Fr. Joseph Chittilapilly.
5. 1999 – Government of Kerala declared a no objection certificate to begin classes according to CBSE Syllabus.
6. 1999 – The L.P school came to the status of Secondary School.
7. 2002 – St. Raphael's Cathedral School was granted the status of Secondary School.
8. 2006 – National Commission for minority education institutions, Govt. of India granted a minority status.
9. 2009 – We had the status of a Senior Secondary School recognized by the CBSE, New Delhi.
10. 2015 – We had St. Raphael's Square (Open Auditorium)
11. 2017 – We had Main Gate built. We had CCTV camera in all blocks
12. 2018-  We had fire extinguishers, incinerators for cleaning school compound and water purifiers. We had Open terrace for indoor games.
13. 2019- We had new computer lab with forty new computers. We had Wi-Fi and well furnished / airconditioned Audio Visual room. We had new conference hall
